CanadaA land of vast distances and rich natural resources, Canada occupies most of northern North America. By total area, it is the world’s second largest country and shares borders with the USA to the south (Alaska to the northwest).

British and French expeditions discovered the land inhabited for millennia by various aboriginal peoples. Canada is today a federation of ten provinces and three territories. With a high-tech industrial society, Canada maintains a diversified economy, technologically advanced and industrialized.

Vancouver

Vancouver has found itself several times mentionned in the top 3 of worldwide rankings, sometimes also awarded with the distinction as best city in the world. Vancouver is the largest city in the province of British Columbia, surrounded by water on three sides and nestled alongside the Coast Mountain Range. There is always something to do in Vancouver: just relaxing in a park or bike riding around the seawall, in Stanley Park. The city is home to spectacular natural scenery and a bustling metropolitan core and has one of the mildest climates in Canada. Vancouver will be also home to the Olympic Winter Games in 2010.

Calgary

The city of Calgary is just minutes from world class skiing and hiking in the Rockies. Nestled on the banks of the Bow River, with outstanding golf in Kananaskis Country and the beautiful scenery of Banff National Park, the prairies meet the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. The city is also home to the world famous Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. Among other touristic attractions, visit the Calgary Tower, the Heritage Park Historical Village, Canada Olympic Park, the Glenbow Museum, and the Calgary Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Prehistoric Park. Take a stroll through the Eau Claire Market and Prince’s Island Park.

Ottawa

Ottawa is Canada’s capital city, one of the most beautiful in the world. Ottawa enjoys the attributes of a major center for the visual and performing arts, as well as other big city attractions. It is less than an hour’s drive from the American border. The city has an atmosphere and charm of a smaller city. Spectacular park and wilderness areas are located within and around.

Montreal

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada, an exciting cosmopolitan destination. Montreal is a diverse city, known for its French culture and charm. It provides a variety of museums, churches, neighborhoods, nighlife and parks. And plenty of attractions for tourists all year long.

Toronto

Toronto is the largest Canadian city, with a strong economy and a milder climate than much of the country. This major city remains vibrant and active year-round. In summer, the weather is warm and festivals flourish. Spring sees pleasant weather and blooming flowers, and Fall brings comfortable temperatures and colorful foliage. In winter, cooler weather and snow are common, but lower prices make it a more attractive time to visit.
