United StatesThe United States of America is one of the richest countries in the world, with a strong economy and huge military power. US cities are however rarely mentioned at the top of worldwide surveys and rankings for best cities. Criminal rates are still high, the terrorist threat is there and many social programs lack in proper medical coverage and sanitation.

There are however several great US cities. Hawaiian Honolulu is a great touristic destination, Minneapolis has cold weather but warm people and Boston is an aristocratic city.

Honolulu

Honolulu has world-famous beaches and tropical weather. This sets the scene for an amazing mix of Pacific cultures. And this is why Hawaii is consistently rated as one of the nation’s top travel destinations. For Hawaii’s biggest industry, the tourism, Waikiki Beach is the center of activity. It is one of the world’s greatest resort playgrounds, featuring some of the most beautiful beaches and hotels in the world. Besides enjoying the beaches, visitors may take tours of the countryside, to highlight the beautiful rainforests and fascinating volcanoes. Several museums, including the Bishop Museum, combine exhibits of Hawaiian natural history with lessons about the history and culture of its diverse peoples.

Minneapolis

“Twin city” of St Paul, Minneapolis boasts an abundance of unique sights. Throughout the city, neighborhoods house unique shops and ethnic eateries. A string of lakes along the west side of town features old and expensive homes nestled amid more comfortable residential neighborhoods. Picturesque houses with spectacular views of the lakes can be found after a drive or walk around The Lakes, from Cedar Lake with its public beaches in the north, around Lake of the Isles with its bird sanctuary island. People can be found walking, biking, running, swimming, skating and boating on and around the lakes.

Boston

With rich culture, astonishing architecture, and fantastic food around every corner, Boston is a family-friendly city that offers something for everyone. Boston hosts over 12 million annual visitors from across the country and around the world. It is a vibrant and thriving city, renowned for its cultural facilities, champion sports franchises, world-class educational institutions. Boston is home of Harvard and Cambridge, two of the most renoun universities in the world. Boston is also distinguished by its vibrant neighborhoods. Its strength, diversity and vitality are all rooted in her 21 neighborhoods, where neighborhood pride and cultures from all over the world are cherished and celebrated. This historic capital has become a magnet for new immigrants, who have joined native Bostonians and transplants from across the country to make Boston the world-class city it is today.
