Go shopping in the city center.

Visit the lovely Botanic Gardens, in the center of urban Adelaide. They include the Bicentennial Conservatory, a glass construction brimming with rainforest plants and flowers.

You are sure to enjoy the energetic atmosphere as well as the wealth of fresh produce at the delightful Central Market.

The National Wine Center of Australia, located in the University of Adelaide, focuses on Australia’s favorite pastime: the fine art of grape growing, harvesting, and making wine.

With a rainforest wetlands aviary, reptile house, nocturnal house and a children’s animal feeding zone, Adelaide Zoo offers a great family plenty of activities and fun.

About 30 minutes from Adelaide is the Glenelg Beach, a serene and peaceful respite from the urban hustle and bustle. Swimmers, windsurfers, cyclists and rollerbladers find plenty of space here.

Take a dawn, daytime or dusk walk through the Warrawong Sanctuary, just half an hour drive from Adelaide’s city center, where endangered species have found a comfortable home.
