Best of AucklandThere are so many things to do and see in Auckland… Start with the Sky Tower, the highest building in the Southern Hemisphere, with a revolving restaurant at the top. Climb also to the top of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, well worth a look. Aotea Centre is a a multi-level theatre, a state of the art entertainment complex.

Located off the Tokatu Peninsula, Tawharanui Regional Park has snorkelling and camping, secluded beaches and fishing. The beautiful scenery of the area is great for picture taking.

Piha Beach is especially known for its Lion Rock Vistas. But don’t miss Kelly Tarlton’s Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World, where you can watch the underwater world and how it lives through glass enclosed underwater tunnels. The Auckland Zoo is an adventure in wildlife. Spend an entire day with the animals and love every minute of it.

Mt. Victoria is one of the many volcanic cones in the Auckland area, with excellent views of the city and the harbour. Walk along the Waitakere Ranges, that also offered long time ago volcanic eruptions. A lot of recreational activities go on at the Ranges.

Karangahake Gorge used to be a gold mining town 100 years before, but now the area is just surrounded by mountains and there are mining camps ruins.
