Best of BostonA good way to see Boston is to get on the Boston’s Freedom Trail. Put on some comfortable shoes and experience the 2.5-miles full of historical information, starting at Boston Common, one of the nation’s oldest existing public parks, a popular destination for recreational athletes, joggers, and protesters.

The oldest botanical garden in the US, Boston Public Garden has charm and grace. The park’s pond is famous for its swan boats, which offer leisurely cruises during warmer months.

Boston Red Sox players and fans call Fenway Park home. One of the smallest and oldest baseball parks in the major leagues, the park still has real grass on the field.

Marine-themed exhibits, programs, and demonstrations take place throughout the day at the New England Aquarium. Seals, penguins, sharks, and other creatures reside here.

The Museum of Science contains the largest “lightning machine” in the world and includes the Hayden Planetarium, which features models, lectures, films, laser and star shows. Do not forget the New England Holocaust Memorial, recipient of the prestigious AIA Henry Bacon Medal for its inspirational architecture.

First launched in the late 18th century and is now recognized as the world’s oldest commissioned warship, USS Constitution lies in Boston as well.
