HonoluluCapital of Hawaii and its most populous city, Honolulu lies along the southeast coast of the island of Oahu and of the county with the same name. Honolulu means “sheltered bay” or “place of shelter” in the Hawaiian language. About one million people live in its metropolitan area.

One of the most popular tourist destinations, the city has excellent restaurants and nightlife to explore, as well as natural preserves and sandy beaches to enjoy. Honolulu is a diverse city in a tropical paradise.

Up in the mountains, world famous volcanoes beckon with a dazzling show all their own. Among the other words that bring images of palm trees dancing in the soft breezes and sun drenched sparkling beaches you’ll find Waikiki Beach. Volcanoes and beaches, a paradise on Earth.

Visit the Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on U.S. soil, peruse local artwork at the Hawaii State Art Museum. Listen to the bells ringing from the beautiful coral foundations of Kawaiahao Church.

Aloha for travelers from anywhere, to feast your eyes on an island paradise that’s also a favorite destination for honeymooners, wonderful for singles and great for families, too.

You can even explore further and take a short drive out to the Nuuanu Pali Lookout. The panoramic view of the Koolau Mountains will take your breath away. Continue to the historical houses of Bishop Museum, cultural and natural treasures of Hawaii and the Pacific.
