TorontoLargest city in Canada, fifth largest city in North America and provincial capital of Ontario, Toronto is by far the most economically developed center of Canada. Located on the north-western shore of Lake Ontario, the city alone has over 2.5 million residents, but with its suburbs, zone known as the Greater Toronto Area , it may go well over 8 million people.

Toronto is a cosmopolitan city, a major destination for immigrants to Canada. By its number of non-native-born residents, almost half were born outside of Canada.

Toronto could easily set itself apart by a spectacular ride up the CN Tower, the world’s highest free-standing structure, with its rotating restaurant on the top.

The city has low crime rates, clean environment, high standard of living and a friendly attitude for diversity. It is also the most expensive Canadian city.

One of the top financial cities in the world, with a very strong economy, Toronto is considered a global city and Canada’s economic capital. Leading economic sectors are finance, business services, telecommunications, aerospace, transportation, media, arts, film, television production, publishing, software production, medical research, education, tourism and sports industries.

TSE (the Toronto Stock Exchange) is headquartered in the city. Most other major Canadian corporations established their headquarter here as well.
