Most Liveable Cities (2007)
According to the UK publication Monocle, the city of Munich (Germany) has been found in 2007 as the most liveable city in the world. Munich is immediately followed, in the top of 20 cities established by the publication, by Copenhagen (Denmark) and Zurich (Switzerland).
Most top places are essentially taken by cities from western Europe. As usual, we also find few cities from Australia, Canada and New Zealand, the new destinations for immigrants. The actual surprise comes from two cities of Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto), Tokyo on a very honnorable place 4.
1. Munich
Monocle’s choice for the most liveable city in the world was Munich. This great city of Germany emerged with a perfect work-life balance and many green spaces. All around a pleasant place to be.
2. Copenhagen
The capital of Denmark is a veritable maelstrom of creative activity and youthful dynamism. One of several beacons in the North.
3. Zurich
As usual, in Zurich small and perfectly formed has turned out to be both a blessing and a curse. Zurich is maybe the most nominated and awarded city in the world by this kind of surveys.
Here are the top 20 most liveable cities in the world, as found by this survey:
