Worst of Perth (Australia)

Worst of PerthSome younger people may not like Perth so much because it is very isolated (the most isolated big Australian city, in the western corner of the country) and may look a but boring (not so many amusements, compared to other big Australian cities). Amazingly enough, they also love it for this lonely isolation, for its wonderful beaches and its calmness.

Immigration brought also a lot of Asians to Perth, and multicultural diversity is not for everyone necessarily a good thing. Traffic in Perth may be another disturbing issue.

Perth is not stranger to crimes and dirty places. It has the highest home burglary rate in the country (some people may joke this is because everyone is so bored).

The places where you get people speeding are further out, like Northam or Stuff, where young college students may take their cars for a spin up and down on what they think are empty roads.

If you want to live the quiet life, just go to Perth. But once you get older, it becomes boring, as there is not much to do.

Perth may also look too slow, everything takes too long to construct, thanks to the laid back mentality of Anglo-Australians.

The real-estate prices have gone through the roof. You need good luck finding a house, and renting is also hard if it’s your first time. In fact, it’s more expensive now to live in Perth than it is in Sydney.

Of what I understand of the authors mentality, Asian’s aren’t very welcome in Perth. Says a lot about Australia, eh?

This is not “the author’s mentality”, this is what he found other people on the Internet had to say about Perth. And it stands for any other article, for any other ratings, they are not “his” :)
