Best Cities for Cultural Experience (2008)
Based only on the number of sporting events in the cities, international travelers, culinary offerings, museums and performing arts, the World’s Most Global Cities survey, presented by Foreign Policy Magazine, A.T. Kearney and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, keeps the same three cities on top 3, but London (United Kingdom) comes first this time, followed by Paris (France) and New York (United States).
A variety of metrics have been used for the concept of “globalization“, trying to understand how urbanization is affecting everything from international politics to corporate behavior.
1. London
London won by far the cultural dimension. Both Paris and New York were trailing far behind. London is famous for its British architecture, the royal families and way more.
2. Paris
No surprise here, Paris is a well-known city for so many museums and a very rich history. The French cuisine is famous worldwide, and you cannot visit Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower, Louvre or taking a walk on Champs-Elysées.
3. New York
New York is famous for its vibrant cultural life and the strength of its diverse creative class. The Isle of Manhattan never sleeps.
Here is the list of best cities in the world for the cultural experience they offer:
