Very conservative city, mixed with a “don’t mess with Texas attitude”, and what do you get? Haughty, arrogant, and narrow-minded folks! I’ve lived here for 2 years and I can tell you many Dallas people have short fuses. They get ticked off pretty quickly and once they’re ticked off at you, they won’t stop; they’ll keep going. What vengeful spirits! Not to mention that people seemed to be pissed off many times, with little or no provocation. Beware of rush-hour times. I was in my car one time, waiting to make a left turn, and since it was between 3-5pm, there was lots of traffic since people get off work around that time. I was waiting to turn left and eventually get to walmart. As an inexperienced driver with 1-2 years of driving, I was trying to be safe. I missed a turn, and then a car behind me started honking like crazy. He was very impatient and eventually drove off. Later, when I was at Walmart, I could feel someone staring at me with angry eyes. I looked at that guy and he looked like he was about to burst into flames at me. Then I realized that he’s the driver who was very impatient.
Well anyways, I’ll never live in Dallas again. One heck of a city alright, but 2 years feels like 20 years and that’s enough. Maybe in the future, I’ll pass through Dallas on a road trip, but that’s it; no more living there. I’m glad I ditched it.
