Mercer is an international organization for Human Resources and related financial advice, products and services. Mercer is serving clients in over 180 cities and 40 countries and territories worldwide. Every two years or so, Mercer is doing a Quality of Living Survey, with best cities in the world based on several criteria.

EIU is an independent UK organization producing research and analysis in different areas. They have built up a peerless global network of analysts, editors and correspondents. EIU produces from global macroeconomic forecasts to political and economic analysis for hundreds of individual countries. Periodically, they also produce Worldwide Cost of Living surveys, on which they base their Most Livable City rankings.
