Unless you take a freeway on flat fields, you may not find it so easy to drive in several areas of this country, where big mountains make it sometimes difficult. One popular route is the one from Geneva to Zurich, passing through Lausanne and Bern. There are less than 300 km and you can travel fast.

Drive in AustraliaIt takes about 5,000 km to cross Australia East to West or West to East, from Brisbane to Perth. Most roads are along the coast, because they try to avoid the desert. In Australia driving distances are huge, no matter where you go. Some roads might be monotonous and long driving distances lead to fatigue. Just make sure you plan enough breaks if you plan to drive such a big distance.

Driving in CanadaThere are over 6,000 km to travel Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. Best Canadian cities are usually found either close to the East Coast or to the Pacific Ocean. Vancouver and Victoria are part of this last group. They take advantage of the moderate climate and the proximity to the mountain and ocean. A special mention for Calgary, a city close to the Rocky Mountains.
