PerthIn the state of Western Australia, Perth is the largest city and its capital, fourth Australian city by the number of its population, which consistently grows at a rate above the national average. It is known as one of the most isolated big cities in the world.

When American astronaut John Glenn passed overhead while orbiting the earth in 1962 and in the Space Shuttle in 1998, city residents lit their houselights and streetlights, and Perth became since known worldwide as the “City of Light”. Continue reading »
